Black Pepper ( Piper nigrum ) is a climbing plant with aromatic fruits that are dried and used as a spice. In addition to cooking, black pepper is valued in folk medicine for its warming and stimulating properties which promote blood circulation and have a beneficial effect on the skin and hair.

 

Black Pepper Essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the fruit of the plant and can be used as a:

 

  • Warming oil serum for skin toning - Stimulates blood circulation and gives a fresh, radiant look to the skin;
  • Nourishing scalp massage balm - Promotes hair growth, enhances microcirculation and reduces hair loss;
  • Lotion for tired or cold extremities - The warming effect improves circulation and reduces the feeling of cold hands and feet.

 

How do i use Black Pepper Essential oil?

 

1. As a warming oil serum for skin toning

 

As a warming oil serum to tone the skin

 

  1. Mix 1 drop of black pepper essential oil with 1 teaspoon of carrier oil ( e.g. jojoba or sweet almond );
  2. Cleanse your face thoroughly;
  3. Apply the mixture with light massage movements in the evening, 2-3 times a week.

 

2. As a nourishing scalp massage balm

 

As a nourishing scalp massage balm

 

  1. Mix 2 drops of black pepper essential oil with 1 tablespoon of castor or burdock oil;
  2. Rub into your scalp with circular massage movements;
  3. Leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash with a mild shampoo.

 

3. As a lotion for tired or cold limbs

 

As a lotion for tired or cold limbs

 

  1. In 50 ml of neutral lotion or hydrolate, add 3-4 drops of black pepper essential oil;
  2. Shake well before each use;
  3. Apply to your legs and arms in the morning and evening with a vigorous massage.
