What does Ravintsara Essential oil help with?

Ravintsara ( Cinnamomum camphora ct. cineole ) is an evergreen tree from the island of Madagascar, whose leaves are used to extract Essential oil with a light, fresh and clean aroma.

The oil is particularly valued for its antimicrobial properties and its ability to soothe the skin without irritating.

Ravintsara Essential oil can be used as a:

• Cream for the area around the nose for frequent colds - Reduces irritation and peeling of the skin around the nose, promotes recovery from frequent sniffling or using tissues;
• Oil for skin with rosacea - Soothes redness and burning without causing irritation ( when properly diluted );
• Oil for skin prone to seborrhea - Regulates oiliness, has antimicrobial effects and soothes irritations on the scalp or face;
• Oil for scars and after irritations - Supports the natural regeneration of the skin and reduces the risk of permanent marks;
• Additive to toothpaste or mouthwash - Keeps the oral cavity clean, reduces the accumulation of bacteria and reduces the risk of gum inflammation.

How do i use Ravintsara Essential oil?

1. As a cream for the area around the nose for frequent colds

1. Mix 1 tsp unrefined shea butter with 1 drop of ravincara essential oil;
2. Mix well until smooth;
3. Apply a thin layer around your nose 2-3 times daily or after each blow-dry.

2. As an oil for skin with rosacea

1. Mix 1 drop of ravintsara oil with 1 tsp. carrier oil ( e.g. evening primrose oil );
2. Mix well and store in a clean glass bottle;
3. Apply in the evening with light patting movements on a cleansed face, avoiding the eye area.

3. As an oil for skin prone to seborrhea

1. In 1 tbsp. base oil ( jojoba or grape seed ) add 2 drops of ravintsara essential oil;
2. Mix well and apply to the affected areas ( scalp, forehead, around the nose );
3. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then wash with a gentle cleanser.

4. As an oil for scars and after irritations

1. Mix 2 drops of ravintsara oil with 1 tsp. rosehip or tamanu oil;
2. Mix and apply to the scar or inflamed area with a clean finger or cotton swab;
3. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times a day until improvement.

5. As an additive to toothpaste or mouthwash

1. In 1 tbsp. coconut oil ( for oil pulling ) or 100 ml of water add 1 drop of ravintsara;
2. For oil pulling - swish in your mouth for 5-10 minutes, without swallowing;
3. For mouthwash - mix well and rinse your mouth for 30 seconds;
4. Spit out and do not swallow; use 1-2 times daily.
